Exercise Doesn't Need To Happen At The Gym

Sometimes the hardest part about getting stated with a workout program is actually getting started. We get in our heads about not having the right equipment, or not having the money to join the gym, or I've even had people tell me they needed to lose weight first.

I recommend just start by adding in a little more activity into your day. Maybe you start by parking a little farther away from the grocery store and getting a little extra walk in. Then, when you're getting used to that, try sitting and standing a few extra times when you get out of your chair. Are you using your hands to get up off of the couch? Try crossing your hands across your shoulders when you stand up.

Once you've mastered these and want to progress to a mini workout, you can add some countertop pushup from your kitchen counter. While you're at the counter, raise and lower your heels off the ground and you're doing calf raises.
